Today was not a good day.

I wish you were here so I could talk to you in person. And also, Mr. Rubix Cube has returned. And he's coming to see my play. In which I wear the most ridiculous costume in the world. No, not even joking, it is the most idiotic thing in the history of the earth. Oh well, at least it will get a lot of laughs. I hope you are reading this with the same apathetic tone that I am thinking it with right now. Miss you.

Why do you do what you do to me? Why won't you answer me, answer me?

Seriously, that song has been stuck in my head since you visited. Yeah. And ALSO I am sad that your school is lame and keeps you from telling me every single detail about your life because I miss youuuuuuuuuu! I have been feeling rather lonely lately and I wish you were here to make me not feel like a total loser. But, in other news, here is what has been going on in my life since I last informed you of it:

  • THE SEMESTER IS OVER. We are half way done with sophomore year. How the hell did that happen?
  • My play opens next week. Dear sweet baby jesus, it is so freaking hilarious. If you have time, you should look up clips of the Reduced Shakespeare Company on Youtube. I know I kind of already beat you over the head with it, but it really is more funny when you see it acted out.
  • Mr. Rubix Cube is no more. No, he didn't die, but he is no longer Mr. Rubix Cube, if you get what I'm saying. He's just the guy who sits next to me in science.
  • Ummm... I had this brownie in Spanish today that was AH-MAZE-ING. It wasn't all the way cooked so it tasted like brownie mix but it was solid and it was glorious.
  • Oh right! So this week was finals week, right? And I had this HUGE final in History and Ms. McMather was not being clear about whether or not I had to take it (in her class, if you have over 100% you don't have to take the final). I knew I didn't have over 100% but sometimes if you have really close, she'll let you off anyways. She didn't know what grade I had but I was pretty sure I had a 98 or a 99. So, on the day of the final, I hadn't studied AT ALL. As in, not even looked at the textbook. And I had resigned myself to the fact that I was going to fail. I sit down, all ready to take the test, and I hear her telling the people with over 100% that they're going to go to the library. And I am sitting there thinking "Please say my name, please say my name, please, please, please." And then she asks, "Anyone else close to 100%?" I raised my hand AND I GOT OUT OF THE TEST.  It was the most beautiful feeling in the world. And then of course, she figured it out, but I still only had to take 2/3 of the test, which was cool. Except that I'm pretty sure I failed both of them. OH WELL.
So yeah, that's my life right now. How are you? How were your finals? I hope you survived...

Things to remember

So, remember how I have that friend that is EXACTLY like you? And remember how we had all that snow recently? I thought I should share this picture with you. Can you guess what it is?

If the answer is yes, then you are probably freaking out right now.

AAAAAHHHHHH THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!!!

THAT IS SO GREAT!!!!!!! Those colleges seem really cool. Yeah, when I took the PSAT's I told them not to email me and now I am sad :( BUT THAT IS AWESOME FOR YOU. I take it you are actually considering some of them? (This assumption was made possible by the multiple exclamation points next to some of the college names.) About Lewis and Clarke: my dad is in love with that school. And they seem to have a really good program that I can't explain over blog. I was considering them too actually (do you hear that faint whisper I hear? Is it calling out "Rooooommmmiiiiieeeesssss" to you too?) Is Barnard cool? Because it sounds cool, based off it's name. Also: THOSE ARE THE COOLEST RECRUIT EMAILS EVER. Just a little jealous right now. Oh, and I just looked up University of Chicago. Turns out, IT'S HOGWARTS. WITH COLLEGE PEOPLE. No, seriously, those words are a link to the campus slideshow. GO WATCH IT.
As for my life, this blog's views are slowly creeping up on my main blog's views and I have realized that Mr. Rubix Cube has no interest in me whatsoever. But for some unknown, torturous reason, I am still crazy about him. Now I have to go do homework on a Saturday. Oh joy, oh rapture. At least I get to drive a little bit. Miss you!

I am not crying

Why you ask? BECAUSE TODAY IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!! Let's go back to the beginning: (flash back blur like in HIMYM)

Last night, I saw something on FB about a history test being today. I was absolutely positively certain it was on Wednesday, so I thought Pssshh, I don't need to study until tomorrow. As it turned out, the test was today, AND I had forgotten to do the homework. But I had one hope. This morning I woke up to see snow, glorious snow, coating the ground. No, school was not canceled, as I discovered shortly after, but it was still snowing. A LOT. So I had great hopes that school would be canceled and that I wouldn't have to take the test or turn in the homework. As the school day continued, I began to get worried. No announcements were being made about ending school early, even though the snow, that glorious snow, kept coming down. So, at lunch, I began to frantically do the homework.  I decided that trying to study for the test would be futile. As I am furiously writing, my friend walks in and says: "Eloise, stop your studying. Someone called the superintendent. School's out at 12:30."12:30 happens to be when fourth period ends, which happens to be the period before my history class. I was so very overjoyed. So very, very overjoyed. And, when they made the official announcement, they also announced that THERE IS NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!! Of course, as soon as they were finished speaking, the snow stopped and the sun came out. So, all in all, life is good. The only sad part is that it snowed after you left. You TOTALLY could have stayed through Wednesday. Sadness. I hope your day was as snowtastic as mine.

P.S. Two other tidbits: I played this really fun game in Spanish called Zoo. It was really fun. And guess who posted on their blog? (Hint: It isn't me. No, seriously, it's that one other person. You know. That person.)

P.S. Sorry for all the italics. They're for emphasis :)

I can't resist

I should be doing homework right now, but oh well! I just wanted to tell you that I reread that one blog that we enjoyed so much and it made my day more merry, after the disappoint of the snow and you leaving and all. So yeah, that's about it. If it's snowing in Portland right now, I don't know what I'll do. Probably make this face:

That also happened to be the face I made whilst reading that blog again. It (the blog) just makes me want to say: "Oh honey..."
